Henrik is the AI coach embedded throughout Campus. It is not a generic chatbot — it knows which cohort you are in, which phases are unlocked, and what you have already worked through.

Modes

Henrik runs in one of several modes. The mode changes Henrik’s voice and what it will engage with.

Guide

Default. Explains, summarises, and points you to the right lesson. Polite, encouraging, never gives away exam answers.

Sparring

Pushes back on your thinking. Use this when you want Henrik to challenge an answer instead of confirming it.

Exam

Conducts a scenario-style assessment. Available only inside an assessment lesson.

Unchained

Drops the curriculum guardrails. Useful for tangential questions. Still respects phase locks.
You can switch modes from the chat header. Switching mid-conversation starts a new context — Henrik does not blend modes.

Language

Henrik reacts to the language you write in, not the UI locale. Write in German and Henrik answers in German (informal du); write in English and Henrik answers in English. You can switch mid-conversation. When you open Henrik from a course, module, or lesson, it reads that course in the language you are taking it in — so its progress percentages and unlock hints match what you see. You can also ask whether a specific lesson is available in another language.

Voice input

You do not have to type. The mic button in the chat box records your question — a live waveform shows it is listening, and recording stops automatically after 10 minutes (or when you press stop). Campus transcribes it and drops the text into the input so you can edit before sending. If your browser blocks the microphone or transcription fails, you get a clear message with a retry.

What Henrik will and will not do

Will:
  • Explain concepts in your own words and at your level.
  • Read the current lesson or module — transcript, materials, and trainer notes — and discuss it with you (unlocked content only).
  • Run assessments and clarify follow-up questions.
  • Suggest the next thing to study based on your progress.
Will not:
  • Reveal content from locked phases.
  • Pretend to be a human or claim it is not an AI.
  • Replace a trainer in cohort-specific decisions (scheduling, grading appeals, certificate issues).

Be specific about the situation

“Our PO keeps writing user stories with acceptance criteria as one giant paragraph — how do I push back?” beats “How do I write user stories?”.

Tell Henrik what you have already tried

Henrik adapts its answer when it knows what is not working.

Switch to sparring mode when you want challenge

The default Guide mode is supportive. Use Sparring when you want your reasoning poked at.

Where conversations live

Conversations stay attached to your account and persist across devices. Assessments are saved when you complete them — you can revisit the transcript later from your profile.
